Imagine yourself on a boat in the pristine waters of the Florida Keys enjoying

and abundant wildlife with an
enthusiastic Captain. Captain Mike has a wealth of knowledge and experience, and is
patient with the novice anglers and enthusiastic with the more experienced saltwater
anglers!
Captain Mike Bassett specializes in live bait / light tackle flats and
backcountry fishing for tarpon, bonefish, permit, snook, redfish, speckled sea
trout, mangrove snapper, tripletail, Spanish mackerel, and shark aboard his 19
ft. Dusky flats skiff, powered by a 115hp, 4-stroke Yamaha outboard engine. He
is based out of Whale Harbor Marina in Islamorada "Sportfishing Capital of the
World".
Capt. Mike is a TRUE Keys native. He was" born " on Marathon Key and " raised "
on Lower Matecumbe Key. He is a fourth generation Keys angler who has been
fishing the waters of the Florida Keys offshore and backcountry since early
childhood. He is U.S.C.G. licensed and insured. All fishing licenses/ permits,
baits, tackle and fishing equipment is provided for his customers. An additional
charge will be imposed for passengers over 2 to account for extra supplies. It
is recommended for parties over 3 that the customers book a second charter. I
can hook you up with another Captain and Charter boat to fish along side you.
Be sure to bring a light jacket, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, drinks and food.
Capt. Mike provides a cooler and ice. Also, be sure to bring a waterproof camera
to capture and relive your memories of an exciting day of fishing in the
beautiful Florida Keys.
